Docsi AI on video: five tasks, five finished files.

In 65 seconds the film shows the real Docsi app: a lecture becomes a study sheet, two windows become flashcards, raw data becomes an Excel file with a chart, notes and data become a lab report in Word – and two PDFs are merged locally.

What happens in the video

Every scene with the request typed in the film and the guide that explains the workflow in detail.

Docsi at the top of your screen

The film starts on a Mac: Docsi sits as a slim bar right below the notch. When the pointer moves over it, the widget with its input field opens. On Windows, too, Docsi lives at the top of the screen.

Lecture PDF → designed study sheet

The file “Lecture 3 – Photosynthesis.pdf” is dragged from the desktop onto Docsi. Docsi reads the lecture, checks statements and calculates; this passage is sped up. The result is a designed PDF with sources, and the preview shows key figures, formulas and charts.

Request in the film: Make me a study sheet

More on this: Turn course material into a study sheet · Understand sources and check statements

Browser and notes windows → flashcards

On Windows you can drag visible windows straight onto Docsi; the film shows this with a browser window and a notes window. Docsi captures the visible part of each, and local text recognition reads both snapshots. The result is a set of flashcards as a PDF. On a Mac, Docsi uses the window capture of macOS; it needs the “Screen Recording” permission once, and the gestures differ from Windows.

Request in the film: Make flashcards for my exam

More on this: Use a visible window as a source · Use text from images and screenshots carefully

Messy spreadsheet → Excel with a chart

“Lab 3 – raw data.xlsx” lands on Docsi. Docsi calculates the key figures from the cells instead of letting them be estimated, and checks every number; this passage is sped up as well. The result is a real Excel file with a chart that Excel itself draws from the cells.

Request in the film: Analyze it by lamp distance as Excel

More on this: Analyse spreadsheets and explain the results · Create a chart with a clear message

Notes and data → lab report in Word

Two files at once: the notes “Lab notes.md” and the Excel analysis just created are selected together and dragged onto Docsi. The result is a Word document (DOCX) with the lab report that you can keep editing in Word.

Request in the film: Write my lab report as Word

More on this: PDF, Word, Excel or Markdown?

Merging two PDFs – offline

Two lectures (“Lecture 3 – Photosynthesis.pdf” and “Lecture 2 – Cells.pdf”) go onto Docsi, and one click on the “Merge PDFs” suggestion joins them into one file. This runs locally on the computer, without AI and without credits.

All results side by side

The four designed results line up: the study sheet and the flashcards as PDFs, the analysis as an Excel file and the lab report in Word.

End card

“Drop it in. Docsi does the rest.” – with the points PDF · Word · Excel, charts and key figures, AI included, Windows and Mac, and the address docsi.impulse-apps.de.

Common questions about the video

Is the video a real screen recording?

Not in the usual sense. The Docsi interface, the local processing and every file shown are real. The desktop is a recreated macOS desktop, the sample material and AI replies are prepared for the film, and waiting times are sped up.

Why does the video have English captions?

The film runs on both language versions of the website and is captioned in English. Docsi AI itself works in German and English, in its interface and in its results. Every caption is listed on this page.

How long do the tasks really take?

That depends on the size of the files, the task and your connection. Local tools such as merging, converting and text recognition run on your computer; AI tasks need an internet connection. Sped-up passages are marked in the film.

Can I try the tasks shown myself?

Yes. You can try Docsi AI free for 3 days, and the trial includes 150 AI credits. Merging, converting and text recognition never cost credits. The plans are on the pricing page.

Does dragging windows work on a Mac too?

On a Mac you hand Docsi a window through the window capture of macOS. It needs the “Screen Recording” permission once, under System Settings → Privacy & Security. The guide Use a visible window as a source explains the details.
